Groovy material.This is a moderate remix to the Marble Zone theme in "Sonic the Hedgehog", the iconic game originally on the SEGA Genesis console. I'm used to hearing hi-hats to the left of bass and kick/snare, so some of the panning decisions here strike me as odd, but there's no denying the performances are delicious and the arrangement both crafted and crafty in its subtle genre shifts. The vibe as Jesse points is classic Diggi, with smoothness and instrumentalist emphasis and a good, solid beat and flow.
Nevertheless, at least twoothers have proven the worth of shamisenless Marble masterpieces, and now Diggi Dis joins their esteemed ranks. As a partisan to my own take on the source material, I might note that while this may have three different keyboard instruments, it completely lacks a shamisen, which I think we can all agree is the key ingredient in the ultimate Marble Zone ReMix recipe.
